Today is the Feast of the Holy Family

God has given us Jesus, Mary and Joseph. Through their family we have been saved. We have been blessed.

God has also given us our family - our mother, father, brothers and sisters. No family is perfect, but God made it perfect for us as we have been made perfect according to His will.

Each member of the family is a blessing to one another. Trust God that He knows what He was doing when He placed you into your family. God loves you.

This coming year 2016, I pray that God's blessings will flow in abundance into your family. May He unite you in His love and grant you the grace to look for what is good in each other rather than what is not. May your household be filled with faith, hope, love and kindness always.

Everything is truly a blessing!

Everything is a blessing.  Let us trust God that whatever comes our way is a blessing.

A failure may just be a nudging to lead you to a better direction...

A heartache may just be a wake-up call to help you see things clearly... or to help you define what you really want in life...

A missed bus may just be a blessing in disguised to keep you safe or to give you a better seat.

A co-worker who often irritates you might just be a God sent gift to exercise your patience and to make a better person out of you. :)

There are more examples to help you see everything as a blessing, but it all boils down to trusting God -in our greatest joy and in our deepest sorrow.

Be at peace knowing that whatever comes your way, you have a God whom you can count on, a God who has great plans for you, a God who will never leave you and a God who is greater than anything. :)

I choose to love!

Once in a while we will meet someone who will put your patience to the test, where sometimes it is difficult to respond as Jesus would...

But no matter how hard it is, try your best to respond out of love... It will help you more than the person to whom you are giving love.

In loving others you are freeing yourself from anger, animosity, fear, doubts, chains of rejection... You become free from these when you love because you will feel compassion instead of hatred, you will be filled with hope instead of fear, you will find peace instead of turmoil and chaos... love one another...

It is best to do the things you have to do out of love... There you will find peace in your every action.
Give love... Don't be afraid to love... love comes from God.  You  give God's light by loving others.

Choose to love. I choose to love you...

Allow God to Fill Your Cup

I have just attended a retreat entitled "GOD WILL MAKE ALL THINGS NEW" by Bo Sanchez.

I would like to share some thoughts with you.

As the image says, the usefulness of a cup is in its emptiness...

This Lenten Season, empty yourself out to God and let Him fill you with His greatness.

Let go of your past sins and guilt, your addiction, your selfishness, your being a mediocre... empty yourself from whatever burdens you are carrying... from whatever is stopping you from growing... from whatever is blinding you from seeing that God is here... God has always been with you...

Let God fill you... do not be afraid to be empty... to have nothing... because in the end, God is all you need.

Everything You Need

Feeling down and lost?  Feeling like you don't know if you'll be able to achieve what you've been planning to do?

Be assured that God has already provided everything you need to accomplish these plans. Jump over the hurdles. Rest for a while if you have to, but do not give up! Look up and know that there is a great God who is with you all the way.

Be comforted knowing that He wants the best for you. Just put whatever you have into good use. :)

What do you need to succeed?  First step and simultaneous with all the other steps -lift up the things you have to do to the Lord.  Pray.  Pray for guidance, for strength, for enthusiasm, for the people you will work with, for the materials you will need, for enlightenment... practically for everything about your project or plan.  :)  God will be smiling at you and will say, "Look here... look what I got... Go and get as much as you need... I have been waiting for you.  Come on, let's do it!" :)

Trust in the Lord.  Be strong and courageous -yes, put your hope in the Lord. -Psalm 27:14

To Be or Not to Be - An Answer to an Opportunity

When in the brink of making a decision, especially life changing ones, it takes as a while for us to decide.  Sometimes we may have already decided but we change our mind.  Why do we change our mind? Sometimes we are in doubt if we are making a good decision or if we are capable of making it up to our decision...cowardice creeps in... negativity creeps in.

We often ask God for signs and yet when signs are given  we still fear that we may be misinterpreting it.  Of course, prudence and other stuff help us make better decisions.  We may even say that we have carefully planned it and that it has been well thought of.  But when do you actually do it?  When will that decision take off? Your decision may just vanish into thin air. You are decided, yet not moving.

We often equate opportunity with financial growth or loss. Opportunities do not only come in the form of financial growth.  In every area of our life comes an opportunity.  Financial opportunity is something that we usually seek but there are other areas where opportunities are overflowing such as opportunity for spiritual growth, opportunity for intellectual growth, opportunity for physical growth and others.  I guess, opportunity in general brings growth into our whole being.

We are given opportunities to help other people.  When we respond to this, we allow our love for others to increase.  We focus less on ourselves, on our personal needs.  Through this we exercise compassion for others...therefore we grow.

We are given opportunities to be courageous.  Acting on an opportunity requires courage.  Moving towards an opportunity puts out the best in us.  It entails belief in yourself and your capabilities.  We prepare ourselves for the consequences of our action.  We muster the courage to do it. We exercise inner strength... therefore we grow.

We are given opportunities to increase our faith.  We also exercise our belief not only in ourselves but also to the God almighty who provides for us and looks after our every need.  When we believe and do what we must,  we exercise our faith...therefore we grow.

Acting on an opportunity means finding the will power to overcome fear, hesitation, laziness and others.  We find the courage to move on, to get our personal tools and face the promise of success. Your success piles up as you move towards your goal.  Mini success comes when you find your purpose, when you realize that your purpose is greater than your fear, when you are able to say no to to the invitation of your comfort zone, when you are willing to make sacrifices, when your realize that your purpose is greater than what you may lose.

Achieving your goal is just an icing to your success  because on your course towards achieving it, you have already won your small battles. :)

Opportunities! Anyone? :)
