We are experiencing the life that we focus on

"I am not experiencing life.  I am experiencing the life I focus on."

Tony Robbins said these words during the Time to Rise Summit held last January 25-28, 2024.

What a revelation.  That is true.  It is not life that we experience, but just what we are focusing on in the moment is what we experience.

Sadly, what we usually focus on is what happened in the past, what we dread to happen, something we failed.  It becomes our belief.  It becomes our experience day in and day out. And it becomes our story.

In truth, in a day, a number of things happen to us… in a week, more so in a month or in a year!

We can choose what event we focus on and what we believe is happening to us.

Life can't be all bad.  There are more good things that are happening in our lives than the not so good ones because, most often than not, even what we consider as bad is meant to be good for us. :)

I told my husband it is the same with our kids; we experience with the kids what we choose to focus on about who they are and what is becoming of them…

We are currently focusing on what they are not doing… ☹ We are looking at what they are erroneously doing… And we are probably missing out on 80%, which is the good thing they are doing.

No wonder the house feels gloomy most of the time. ☹

This is also why we have to celebrate even the small wins because these are the memories we want to keep on reminding ourselves! Our victories! Our joys!

Let’s fill our life with it r
ather than to be sad and to feel down.  Life may not be perfect, but each day is a perfect day to start a new one with an expectant heart for a better life!

Photo of our family when the kids were still very young.
Now, almost each of them is bigger than me.

It is the same with our preferences in what screenplay we will pull from our memory that we will allow to keep playing in our mind.

We choose to focus on the problems and negative details of our lives that we miss the great things that are happening… and the pattern goes on to make you feel down and low about your day, your life, and yourself and the people around you…☹

What's great is that we have a choice.  You can choose what to focus on and what story to stick into your life.   You can even change the story.

Choose well what happening in your life you will focus on because that will be your experience and, eventually, your belief and your story.

Christ is Enough for Me

Christ is enough for me.

Indeed He is.

But in saying that He is enough for me, do I know what He is giving to me?

Do I know Him fully?

Who is He who can fill our life?

Who is He who can fill our emptiness?

Who is He who brings love to us?

Who is He who lights our path?

Who is He who gave His life for me?

Christ is calling us to spend time with Him. Listen to His words. Read His words.  And more importantly to live His words.

His love, His grace, His light is available to us. The action needed from us is to take it.  Let us receive Christ in our life.

Just like the food that nourishes our physical body, we have to take and chew. We set aside time to eat. Otherwise, we may get malnourished or worst we die.

We may have known Christ for some time, but we have to be continuously nourished by His love and His presence. Otherwise, we get strayed. Our light dims.

His grace is overflowing. Let us take what Christ is giving to us.

Let us fill ourselves with Christ - so much that everything we receive from Him we can share with others who may be filled by Him too. Then they too can say, "Christ is enough for me."

Love God, Take Action

COVID-19 came and we have all experienced being stuck at home for 3 months or so.   People have become gloomy and have been blaming the virus and the government for their misery.

We can't stay in that state of being stuck for long and in misery at that! YES, you can't.  We need to move our muscles.  Otherwise, our muscles and our brain cells will die.

It is the same with our dreams, no matter what is happening now in this world, WE HAVE TO TAKE ACTION.  Even if you are physically stuck, don't let your thoughts be!

The world is waiting for what you can give, offer, provide.  Your family, your friends, your employees, your customers, or your soon to be new customers (if you are going to shift your career) are waiting!

GOD IS WAITING for you to deliver.   He is also waiting for you to tap on His vast resource which is available to you 24X7.

You are loving God when you take action.  Make that step forward.  Trust God and give your all.

LOVE GOD.  TAKE ACTION.  SERVE.

You are a vessel of God's Grace

Do you want to live a full life?  A life filled with joy, peace, and love?  You'll have a beautiful glow in you and people can't explain why they are drawn to you.

Yes?

If your answer is yes, then EMPTY yourself.

You heard that right.  You have to FIRST empty yourself.

Empty yourself from your past hurts, from the guilt feelings, from the anger, the feeling of being unwanted... Empty out the negative.

Why?

So you can fill your life with GOD'S grace.

The more space you give for Him, the more He can fill you with His graces.

Connect to the source of all graces.  He offers an unlimited serving.

Now, do you still want that full life?

Fill your life with God's grace.  Get a generous serving.

People around you will also be blessed.

You are a vessel of God's grace.  Make it overflow!

Have the Attitude of Gratitude

At this time during the pandemic, it is so easy to be lured to just give up, break out and just scream!

But praise and thanks be to God, for we have Him in our life.

He always calls us to come to Him, to be in His presence even when we are busy... either busy thinking about our sorrows, busy thinking about the things we have to do, busy thinking about the future of our kids, our family and so an so forth.

The question is do we stop and acknowledge the invitation to come to Him?

Oh, how easy it is to be drowned by negative thoughts so before it even reaches the level where it dominates our being, call out to Him and pray.

Just a few hours ago, I was at a loss and I was starting to feel sorry for myself, I am not feeling well (due to non-covid hehehe...), and I still have so much to do.  How tempting it is to just stay at home and rest.

SO, what happened???

The words, "He who has planted the dream in You has the capacity to make it happen!" echoed in my mind.  And so with that thought, it was like adrenalin pushing me to make things happen and not be lured by the temptation to just scream! hahahaha! To be honest, it was so tempting to do just that.

I told God, "I will not give up on the dreams that you have planted in me."  And so here I am. Writing.  Because, for several days now, I have been wanting to share the WORLD GRATITUDE SUMMIT but wasn't able to.

YUP, what these past few weeks have taught me is that the ATTITUDE of GRATITUDE is one of the most important things that my 4 kids needed to live a full life.

If you are not happy with your surrounding, change it.  Do something about it.  Make it happen.

Let us focus on finding the solution and not dwell on the problem.   What can we do?

And so, it is my joy and pleasure, to invite you to join the WORLD GRATITUDE SUMMIT, to be held ONLINE on August 13-15, 2020.   I am happy to be accepted as one of their ambassadors. :)

Just click on this link for the FREE Pass WORLD GRATITUDE SUMMIT https://bit.ly/30C8Hab

Should you wish to have a VIP Pass for WORLD GRATITUDE SUMMIT https://bit.ly/2DPruG3

Let us refill ourselves with GRATITUDE, see you at the SUMMIT! God bless!

The Butterfly Effect

Last 2018, I got hold of the book, "The One Minute Millionaire" authored by Mark Victor Hansen and Robert G. Allen. Mark Victor Hansen is a co-author of the book, "Chicken Soup for the Soul" while Robert G. Allen is the author of the real estate book, "Nothing Down" and "Creating Wealth".

I started to read it and brought it with me for reading. However, upon meeting a young lady working at a real estate firm I am transacting with, I decided to give it to her thinking that it will help her on her journey to life in general.

Fast forward 2020, got hold of the book again, but this time, in audio format. 😊

I was truly amazed at how listening to the book now, is just in time for the experience I am going through. From the time I purchased the audiobook, the idea of the butterfly effect phenomenon really made a mark in me.

Whoa! Come to think of it... dear Lord... hahaha... My journey, from the time I gave away the hard copy version of the book until today, is an example of the butterfly effect.

The butterfly effect is an idea that is more commonly used in chaos theory. A small change can make much bigger changes happen; one small incident can have a big impact on the future. The term butterfly effect comes from an analogy where a butterfly flaps its wings in Tokyo and a tornado occurs in Tennessee. - Simple.wikipedia.org

Looking back now, it is as if I have planted a seed during that time. I just helped a friend to resolve their real estate problem with a large real estate company, without thinking about the monetary return. The exchanges and visits with the company lasted for more than a year. With God's grace, it ended well, and to my friend's favor.

Consequently, this friend of mine tapped the little experience that I have with construction to build a building for their family.

Constructing the building came with challenges of course. More than the technical aspect, which can be studied/learned with the right mentors, the real challenge is the management of relationships with the client, workers, suppliers, partners, and even with yourself.

There are many take away from the book, and one of them is the reminder that we have to have a high level of integrity in whatever we do. Yes. It is a must.

In relation to the butterfly effect and integrity, lying, if made, no matter how small it may be, will have a lasting effect on our lives. You may not see it yet now, but eventually, it will have an effect on your future. The choice or decision to make that tiny lie has the ability to change the course of your life.

Let us be conscious of our actions, our decisions -the choices we make.

What small actions or seeds are we planting?

In daily life, as a wife, do I disregard the good that my husband do for me? Doing this, even if we think it is just nothing has an effect on our relationship. It may later cause the diminishing love of the spouse towards the other. And to think, it just started with neglecting to say our thank you's and appreciation.

On the other side, if we choose to do tiny acts of love, such as a sweet smile sent to your spouse, waters the seed of love and nourishes it and that seed will grow into a sturdy tree of love in the end.

Such is our relationship with God. Our tiny acts of prayer, no matter how small, will bring us closer to Him-- will water that loving relationship.

  • Even just lifting your eyes towards the sky, thanking Him for the day
  • Acknowledging His presence in our life
  • Remembering how good he has been
  • Making the sign of the cross when coming out of the house, asking for His protection

Even these small gestures will bring us closer to Him.

Let us not neglect to do these small gestures -a show of love, of gratitude, of kindness. These tiny acts will tell the difference of the future ahead of you and those of whom you touch.

God bless you! Gently flutter your wings, butterfly! You are making changes to the world! -- And may it be a positive one!

Give, Take and Treat Yourself Well

How great is our God that He thinks even about our pleasures and our joy.

God wants us to enjoy the fruit of our works and His blessings.  He doesn't want us to be grumpy and feeling miserable.  He has given us the tools we needed in order to be prosperous right?
It is written, in Sirach 14:14
14 Enjoy happiness and do not reject lawful pleasure when it comes your way.
From this verse, God is telling us to take time to celebrate! If a blessing came your way, celebrate!

Sometimes we neglect to do this.  We have toiled so hard but we do not rest and sit back and enjoy the fruits of our work.  If we keep on doing this, there will come a time that we will experience burn out and lack of enthusiasm with our work.  Take time to celebrate.  Your celebration doesn't have to be lavish, but if your budget allows you to, why not? :)

Enjoy and be happy.  This too comes from God. Celebrating your wins is a way for you to acknowledge the good that you have accomplished, the blessing that you have received.  God wants us to be happy and not grouchy. hahaha... or stingy at that!

Celebrate even the small wins!

You are done cleaning your house well?  Celebrate! Sit down, sip a cup of coffee, a tea or your favorite drink and enjoy what you have accomplished.

God wants us to be happy now in this world where He placed us and where He leads us to serve Him. Treat yourself well because we are God's creation and He wants us to take care of ourselves well and He provides for these opportunities to come.

Speaking of opportunities, have you ever found yourself feeling guilty charging for a fee for your services?  I did.  There were times that I feel that I am not being a good person when I charge for fees especially when a service is done for a friend.  But would you know, even this is addressed in the Bible?
Sirach 14:16 says, "Give, take and treat yourself well, for in the netherworld, there are no pleasures to seek."

  1. Give -  whatever your service or product is
  2. Take - get what is due you
  3. Treat yourself well - in taking, it says that you should treat yourself well! Not treat yourself poorly!

One way to praise and thank God is to manifest that we are enjoying the blessings that He sends our way.  Rejoice for His goodness!  His provision comes from this.  How can you even celebrate if you have paid yourself short.

Give, take and treat yourself well! Celebrate! God wants you to be happy. :)

You are important to God. :)

Last week, I wanted to visit my aunt who was in the hospital and just had an operation. I had a full day of transactions to do that day and I have no personal transpo to bring me quickly to where I have to go. I was torn between going to my aunt or going straight to do my transactions. Unfortunately there were no taxi passing at Alabang-Zapote road at the time. With 3 kids in tow, we rode a bus going to Manila from Las Pinas. (No Grab app yet. hehehe... will add it). I was surprised that the bus went straight to Macapagal skipping Baclaran, then it turned right to Edsa and left to Roxas Boulevard! And coming to full view, I saw San Juan De Dios Hospital where my aunt was confined. I shouted, "Para po sa San Juan De Dios!" Praise God! To me, it was like we were chaffeured by the bus to the hospital. 😲🙏😇😍 During the visit, the kids and I prayed over my aunt. I truly felt that it was there were God wanted me to be. Do you have a problem and you think that it is not worthy of God's attention? No problem is too big or too small for our dear God. 🥰 He loves you and cares about every detail of your being. Come to Him, call upon our Father. 🙏🙏🙏 He is just waiting. 😉 ~~~~~~ Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? And not one of them is forgotten before God. Why, even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not; you are of more value than many sparrows. ~Luke 12:6-7

Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
~Hebrews 4:16

Want a free ticket to Holy Land?

Towards the end of 2018, I finally received the full payment for a real estate deal I closed in May.  I was thinking, did I already tithe for this transaction?  Checking my accounts, I cannot confirm it. I took the time to verify also from the organization where I usually give but they cannot confirm it too. More than a week has passed by and I still am not sure if I already did.  Until it struck me, “Ano ka ba? Nakikipagtuusan ka pa ba kay God.  Sa Kanya naman nanggaling lahat ‘yan.”

Can you guess what I did?

I just gave my tithe and more.  It was a good thing too that early on in our marriage, Bernie, my husband said that I am in charge when it comes to our family tithing.  He will not question it.  I have a hunch that I already gave my tithe, but I no longer want to keep tabs with God about how much I have already given.  And besides, everything came from Him and so I just gave even if it meant that I might be giving double.

I decided to give through the Kerygma magazine subscription because I believe that the magazine is a window where readers can see how God works and how they can deepen their relationship with God.  It will also be a chance for them to have a glimpse about The Feast and I am hoping that they will attend too.  I prayed and asked God for guidance to whom He wanted me to reach out to and give free Kerygma magazine subscriptions.

Just obey and God will do the rest.

Funny that after giving, it dawned on me how I already gave back earlier in May and why it did not appear in my records.  But I said, “I am happy Lord.  😊  Kidding our God, I said, “Advanced ko na po yun for 2019 ha!”

God is healing my limiting belief.

On the second week of January, I was assessing our family’s financial state and I saw that we do not have much.  I looked backed on my recent deals and realized that God has given me enough opportunity to earn more but instead of charging for the value of my services I just let it pass and give it for free.  There is also an instance when I could have priced a property we developed for a higher amount but I did not, only because I wanted it to be sold quickly and a friend was already interested with it.  I was afraid that it might take longer to sell it if I will increase my asking price.  But properties in the area were selling like pancakes.

For the first time, I realized that it was not that I am generous or kind but that I opted to let go of the opportunity to earn more just so they will not think that I am only after the money and also because I do not want to be arguing about money.  It was then that I realized that I still have a limiting belief even if I know that God can give me anything and that all He wanted is to bless me.

God has it all planned.

On, January 13, I attended the first session of The Feast at the Bay Area and was intently listening to Bro. Bo Sanchez regarding having the courage to let go.  I was asking myself, was brother Bo talking to me?  He said, “Let go… What you are holding on might even be good. But God has something better for you.”

Prior to attending the session, I was troubled on what to do about a recent commitment.  Doing it will be good since I will be helping a friend, but it will also deprive me of an opportunity to financially grow for my family.  Before leaving the Feast, I already knew what I had to do.

And so, I left PICC to act on that decision.

I called my sister in the US and asked her to watch the FEAST LIVE STREAM for me and told her jokingly, “Baka manalo ako sa paraffle ng Kerygma” to which she replied, “Kinabahan ako ate!” to us, it meant that I will most probably win it.

A few minutes later, a friend sent me a message announcing that I won the Kerygma Mission Partner HOLY LAND Pilgrimage package! God even chooses who will give me the message.  She is someone I look up to when it comes to real estate entrepreneurship and sharing God’s love.  And here I am alone at the roof deck of the property I am about to renovate, crying with joy. 😊

Bro. Bo Sanchez announcing the winner - Me! :)
My tithing got me a free ticket to Holy Land!

I was crying and I was thinking how near our God is.  How he had everything planned: my obedience to Him about letting go, the tithing, me realizing my limiting belief, and me winning the grand prize.

Bro. Bo with the DTI representatives validating the
winning entry
Simultaneous with this announcement of winning, I also received wisdom on how I will still be able to help my friend without me being too tangled with it and to charge for the actual value of my services.  God is curing me from my limiting belief.  It was like literally God was just next to me watching my every step guiding me as I obey.

Amazing isn’t? As if what has already transpired is not enough proof that He is present and is always with us, as I am writing this, someone called out in our gate, the delivery man from LBC.  And guess what?  He delivered the letter from Shepherd’s Voice Publication announcing my winning the grand prize!  Of course, it made me cry again. Hahahaha! Silly me! 😊 The arrival of the letter was like God saying to me, “Good job!”

GOD IS ALWAYS WITH US... watching over us and looking after our every need.

Thank you, Lord, for your love and your presence. 😊

OBJECTIONS are Welcome! :)

Stalled to do something that you should have done two days ago, a week ago, a month ago or even a year ago?

Could it be because you are shy, or are scared to be laughed at or you are afraid that what you are about to deliver is not good enough?  Are you afraid of objections?

Stop. Instead of thinking that what you will do or give is not good enough, think about WHAT BENEFIT IS THE OBJECTION GIVING YOU. :) Replace the negative thoughts of rejection with the benefit of what it will bring.

What you are giving may be liked or not liked.  But you'll only know the answer once you take action.

Most of the time, your product or service is already good and will be pleasantly received.  It is already of great value that is why you thought of offering/giving it in the first place.  It’s just you who is delaying the action.

If in case the result is an objection, again, think about what benefit is the objection giving you.  Learn and move on.  It can be an opportunity to improve your product or service or the objection may just be a redirection to a better deal.  Get done with it. 😊 Win-win! 😊

Here’s a quote from W. Clement Stone – the co-author of Success Through a Positive Mental Attitude
Success is achieved and maintained by those who try, and keep trying, for there is nothing to lose by trying and a great deal to gain if successful. By all means TRY!

Whether you are offering a product or a service, think about how others will benefit from it and how great it is that you will be able to help.  So, don’t be shy but be happy to deliver. Be a blessing. Take  action.

Special thanks to John R. Pagulayan of The Freelance Movement for the gist of these thoughts are my take-away from his talk today and for inspiring me to take action.  I hope it will have the same effect on you. 😊

Music Can Heal Us

Music can heal us.

Yesterday, I was blessed to be present at The Feast Bay Area, AM Feast and have witnessed LaDonna Taylor play the violin.

I pray that you will receive the healing you need as you watch and listen to the sharing and music of LaDonna Taylor.  The key is to immerse in His glory

I believe that I was there to listen to her music yesterday so that I can share this with you today.  Be healed, in Jesus name.  Amen!

Choosing Blessing Over Misery

Just recently, a person I am dealing with broke the conditions of our agreement.  Not only once but in succession.  He did not keep his part of the agreement one condition after the other.

I kept quiet.  I reminded myself that everything is a blessing.   What good can come out of this situation?  What is God trying to teach me or show me? Surely, He has a great plan.

With that pause and thought, by God's grace, I was saved from diving into anger,  bitterness and misery.

One by one, the blessings of the situation unfolded.  And so the saying goes, "If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.":

(1) I was given the opportunity to see how the other person thinks.
Were it not for the situation, I would have still believed that the person did not mean to do the wrong that he has previously done and was only forced to do it by the influence of the people around him; With the turn of events, I had the chance to assess that it was his preference not to honor our agreement.   Sad but true.

(2) I am thankful that I am the one who is in the position to understand and not the one to be understood.
Seeking to understand another person opens a window for you to grow, to have a better perspective of where the person is coming from... Why they think that way?  A person may have done the wrong thing but  understanding will still make it easier for you to face the situation.

As for me, I was spared of feeling angry, bitter and miserable.  :)  Sometimes, just showing kindness to a person helps them realize their mistake without a need to go through a heated argument.

But ofcourse, it is still our responsibility to correct.  You also don't want the person to do the same thing to other people.  But at least, I hope with understanding, you'll be able to say it in a diplomatic way. :)

(3) I was given an opportunity to exercise forgiveness.
According to Dr. Wayne Dyer, "You practice forgiveness for two reasons:  to let others know that you no longer wish to be in a state of hostility with them and to free yourself from the self-defeating energy of resentment.  Send love in some form to those who have wronged you and notice how much better you feel."

I did send love and I felt great and liberated!

(4) Strengthed relationship between God, me and my husband.
The situation only enabled me and my husband to work hand in hand in facing life's challenges and turn to God for help.  It became an opportunity for us to weigh what is more important to us.  We called on to God to enlighten us and to help us see things His way.

At the end, you'll see that relationships are more important than money.  Money can't buy you peace.

Bask in God's Light, Shine!

Have you ever felt down? Weary? You feel that something wrong is about to pop-up or a problem might suddenly surface? I have felt that.

I know the feeling is not healthy.  The feeling of uncertainty brings fear.
However you want to be protected by God's loving embrace, a time will still come when you will feel down and might let yourself be trapped into negative self talk.  The lies of the enemy will try to find its way to your heart and to your mind.  It becomes even easier for the enemy to succeed when we are far from God, when we are busy with other things and put Him aside.
At a time like this, who else should we turn to but to our Father God.
Psalm 34:1-8
1 [2] I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise shall be ever in my mouth. 2 [3] Let my soul glory in the Lord; the lowly will hear me and be glad. 3 [4] Glorify the Lord with me, let us together extol his name. 4 [5] I sought the Lord, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears.  5 [6] Look to him that you may be radiant with joy, and your faces may not blush with shame. 6 [7] When the poor one called out, the Lord heard, and from all his distress he saved him.  7 [8] The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them. 8 [9] Taste and see how good the Lord is; blessed the man who takes refuge in him.

Arm yourself with verses from the Bible and quickly use one when you feel the enemy is trying its way to you.  It's good to memorize verses that struck you and you'll have lots of weapon to use when you need one. :)

Look to him that you may be radiant with joy, and your faces may not blush with shame. ~Psalm 34:5

Expose yourself to God's light.  Let God's light shine into your life that you may radiate with joy and darkness will find it hard to come to you.

The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them.  ~Psalm 34:7
The Lord sends angels into our life.  They are present and real.  You may have encountered them in the form of your officemate, your friend, a bus seatmate, a passersby with a friendly smile.  You always have someone with you.  God has sent an angel to guard you.

God loves you. :)

Let God lead you

Once I had a conversation with my sister.  She has a coworker whom she wanted to treat to a day out.  She knows that the person has been through a lot.  Her coworker is already an elderly and still takes care of her children even if they are already grown up and with a family of their own. The elderly has loans here and there.

My sister felt that her coworker needed a day out. However, she's reluctant to do it because she also thinks that she might get abused if she'll do it.  The other might come to her more frequently for financial help.

The desire to show kindness, love and compassion was there but fear has kept her from doing it.

There's a natural feeling in us to love others, to feel compassion.  It is just that we sometimes stop in our track to loving others because of fear for one's self, fear of ridicule or for other reasons.  The environment that we have grown accustomed to has made us choose to disregard this feeling.  We have grown to neglect it... to set it aside... and let the feeling die.  We have let the reasoning of this world corrupt our good intentions.

Don't let it die in you. Don't let what this world dictates stop you from showing what you feel and what you want to share. For all you know, you are the light that God has sent for someone in need.

Don't let your desire to show kindness, love and compassion die.
Let God's love shine through you.
Be God's love to others.
Don't worry.  God will be your guide.
Allow God's love to lead you.

If you expect blessings, it will come!

What you believe in sets the tone for your life.

Believing that everything is a blessing sets the tone of hoping and expecting for the good things to come.  And indeed blessings will come.  Blessings will come pouring in. Having this perspective is like having an armour to protect you from negativity.  Whichever way you'll  look, you'll see nothing but blessings! And even if you'll get infected by negativity, it will be easy for you to bounce back and look at things on the brighter side again.  Because, as always, God wants nothing but the best for you.  He wants to bless you... and in abundance!

In reverse, if you keep on thinking that nothing good is happening in your life, then that's what will happen.  That's what will come - nothing good.  Everything you'll look at will seem to be nothing but trouble.

And so, don't miss out on those blessings! Expect it to come!  They are everywhere! (Pokemons suddenly popped in my mind! hehehe...)

Please allow me to share with you my experience of blessings last month. (I've been wanting to share this but I couldn't find the time to sit and write.)

BLESSING#1
"If there's nothing to lose but gain if you try, then by all means try!"  This was the thought that came into my mind when I was feeling timid to ask Engr. Enrico Cruz of Urban Institute, our mentor in Real Estate, what the topic is for the coming week for his Build and Sell Mentoring Course.

I was a graduate of the same course the previous year and I've learned a lot from it.  I wanted to sit in the class again. I was starting on a new rehabilitation project for a townhouse and I was struggling whether to get a contractor or be the contractor myself as I have done in my past project.

And so, motivated by the quote from Napoleon Hill, I messaged Engr. Cruz and asked.  He replied "Reports and Construction Details".

Wow! Just what I needed!  #Perks of being an Urbanite

BLESSING#2
And so I sat in the class last August 27, 2016.  When I thought I was late, I was actually early! It was a blessing that the class was scheduled an hour later than during our batch.  And with that, I had a chance to meet and talk with the speaker for the day, Engr. Oscar Cadag and Engr. Cruz prior to the start of the class.  Engr. Cruz was so kind to introduce me to him.  From my conversations with Engr.Cadag and Engr. Cruz, I'm already getting ideas on what to do with my
dilemma.

BLESSING#3
During Engr. Cadag's lecture he mentioned that he works for DIAR'S, the same company that supplies janitorial services for DLSU.  The company I worked for for almost 17 years. :)  During the break, I recognized a familiar face I see at DLSU - Mr. Bimbo Brillo.  He was with Engr. Cadag.  It was my first time to talk to him.  What a coincidence that we all met at the real estate seminar, we were all affiliated with DLSU and Couples for Christ at Mandaluyong City.  We had a good chat. :)

Mr. Bimbo Brillo is on my right while Engr. Oscar Cadag is to my left (wearing pink polo shirt just like me).

BLESSING#4
Wow! Architect Jun Palafox was also a lecturer for the day! What a blessing it was to be inspired again as he shared his vast experience and his mission.

Architect Jun Palafox

Engr. Cruz has his way of bridging newbies like me to the experts.   Engr. Cruz gets to tap high profile and well experienced personalities in real estate development because he himself is also generous with his time and knowledge.  Most of the attendees are also experts in their field and most of the time, also share their expertise in the class.

I remember Architect Palafox saying, "When you know something and you share it, you become an expert...(the knowledge doesn't die with you)."

I was happy that I sat in for the week's class. :)

But wait there's more!  God is not done pouring His blessings yet. :)

BLESSING#5
The following day, I was early to visit my parents at their tailor shop.

My father mentioned that he was expecting a client who will make a bulk purchase.

Guess who came into the doorstep of the shop?  It was sir Bimbo Brillo!  He was there to represent DIAR'S and make a bulk order for the uniform requirement of their janitors deployed at College of St. Benilde.

Who would have guessed? God only knows. :)  Thank you Lord!

Everything is a blessing.  Isn't? :)

You have what it takes!

If you are thinking about starting something in your life now,  something that causes you to struggle, have faith and muster the courage to move forward and make the first few steps.  If you keep working at it, soon you'll see the fruits of your hard work.

I made a poster and thought of sharing it with you and hoping that it will help you reach for your goals.

Version 1
I got my inspiration from the words of Brendon Burchard, an excellent motivational speaker and best selling author. Listen to his podcast and other online videos available for free on YouTube such as this video "Start Something That Matters". You'll learn a lot from him. I did! :)

I made two versions. The first version starts with "Please, my friend,".  This version speaks to me like a friend is talking to me,helping me focus on my goals. It is more personal. The second version is more universal, without the words "Please my friend".

Whatever poster you'll choose or even if you will not use any, I am just happy to have shared it with you -its thoughts and the source of the words, Brendon Burchard, whom I hope will also inspire you.

You have what it takes!

God bless your dreams! :)
